This is my first surfboard and is made mostly of scrap pine from the college skip. The top deck is timber from some old stud work. The rails are the tongues and grooves from some T&G floorboards. The nose and tail blocks were shaped from cut-offs of some joists. Then the stringer, ribs and bottom deck are from a sheet of 8x4 5.5mm Ply.

My second build, will have a similar construction as the 8ft Minimal. I still haven't raided any scrap from the college skip, so I'm not sure what sort of timber I'll be using. I might opt for a solid rail, rather than the stips I used last year.
Hoping to start work in April.
